I am a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, with experience supporting children, adolescents and adults across mental health, educational and behavioural settings. My professional experience includes working as a School Counsellor, delivering mental health awareness and wellbeing workshops, conducting mindfulness training, and supporting individuals experiencing concerns relating to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, emotional regulation and overall mental wellbeing.
My approach is an eclectic approach, dominantly person-centred, strengths-based and informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I place strong emphasis on creating a safe, respectful and non-judgemental environment where individuals feel heard, understood and supported. I work collaboratively to understand the individual, their environment, their needs and the factors contributing to their behaviours.
In my current role as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, I have developed further experience supporting individuals with complex and challenging behaviours and implementing positive, person-centred behaviour support strategies. I am motivated by helping people develop meaningful skills, increase emotional and behavioural regulation, build confidence and participate more successfully in their everyday lives.
